We know it’s cold in Montreal these days...but it’s not a reason to lock yourself in! Yes, there are plenty of things to do, even when the temperatures goes below 0!
If you are staying with us, or passing by Old Montreal, head to the Old Port, until the Marché Bonsecours (a few minute walk) and discover the best ice skating spot in town! Opened until the 10th of March, it’s the biggest rink in Montreal, with top-quality ice and cheap entrance rates: 6$ per adult and 4$ per kid (free for kids under 6). Best panorama of Montreal? Mount Royal! The ascension will take a little while and a little effort (Count at least 15 minutes by stairs, Peel entrance) but you will be rewarded with what’s up there! Fabulous 360 °skyline, incredible sight during day or night (we love it at sunset) make sure you don’t forget your camera! The top of the Mount Royal is, as a matter of fact, a huge park with tons of activities: Ice Skating (lac des Castors) sliding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, guided tours ...more information here
